Brookline
The town of Brookline is a town in Norfolk County that began as a hamlet of Boston called Muddy River, taking its name from the body of water that roughly divides Brookline from Boston. In 1705, the town became a separate entity and possibly took its current name from a farm called “Brookline”. Today, Brookline is a welcoming community of about 59,000 residents that is just west of Boston city limits.
