Newton

Featuring a well-balanced blend of urban and suburban features, Newton, also known as “Garden City,” is home to a little over 87,453 residents as of 2022. Located in Middlesex County, Newton boasts a strong public educational system, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a fine collection of historic homes. Newton is just approximately 7 miles from Boston, making driving or commuting to the city easy and convenient. A city noted for its small town ambiance, Newton is composed of 13 villages, each possessing their own unique brand of flavor. Most of these villages have their own downtown areas as well as their own post offices. Brighton and West Roxbury, both Boston neighborhoods, are located east and south of Newton respectively. Other surrounding communities include Brookline, Watertown, and Waltham. A short drive to the west will take commuters to Needham and Wellesley.
